Question: Many Muslims claim that Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) loves everyone, including the disbelievers, and that He cannot hate anyone. What should we say to such people? Answer:
The statement that Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) loves everyone and hates no one is a false and misguided claim, contradicting what Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) has described Himself with, and what He has informed about Himself. For indeed, He — Glorified and Exalted be He — loves and hates, is pleased and displeased.
Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) has mentioned in the Noble Qur’an the qualities of those He loves and those He does not like.
